A new milestone for cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Germany. A delegation from San’at Forum e.V. is currently in Uzbekistan preparing a major international cultural project.

A few days ago, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Uzbek National Puppet Theater of the Republic of Uzbekistan and San’at Forum e.V. This agreement lays the foundation for a long-term partnership and the joint realization of future cultural projects.

At the initiative of San’at Forum e.V., the Uzbek National Puppet Theater will perform in Germany for the first time. With this event, we are introducing one of Central Asia’s most significant traditional theatrical arts to a German audience for the first time.

Our Chairwoman, Zukhra Rakhmatova, and Director Mansur Alimovich Ahmedov of the Uzbek National Puppet Theater of the Republic of Uzbekistan signing the memorandum.

The project idea was developed last year by Zukhra Rakhmatova, an art historian and the founder of San’at Forum. Since its founding, San’at Forum has sought to raise awareness of Uzbekistan’s art and cultural heritage in Germany and thereby build cultural bridges between the two countries.

For decades, the Uzbek National Puppet Theater has preserved the rich traditions of Uzbek puppetry and has made a significant contribution to passing on our country’s intangible cultural heritage. It is precisely this unique cultural heritage that San’at Forum aims to introduce to a German audience for the first time.

The signing of this memorandum marks the beginning of a new phase of cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany. At the same time, it is the first step toward a project that will introduce the National Puppet Theater of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a German audience for the first time.
